The homeowners wanted a semi-temporary option added to their landscape lighting design for backyard entertaining purposes during the spring and summer months. Outdoor bistro lights are a great seasonal option.
Creating the Landscape Lighting Design
Since the homeowners wanted a seasonal option for their patio, we had to make it possible to set up and take down. Our team made the bistro string lights and removable pole. The bulb watt to cable length ratio has to be correct not to overload your system. A “patio light zone' was set up” that allows the homeowners to control their bistro lights from their phone without disturbing the rest of their lighting design.
The string lights extend across the patio area from the deck to where they join at the pole. A large tree could be used to create a similar effect.
Now, the homeowners can turn on the patio string lights anytime they want the perfect nighttime ambiance. Once the season is over, we’ll come to take it down, store it, and then put it up again next season.
