Memorial Day weekend is almost here. This weekend is an opportunity to enjoy time with friends and family as we remember those who served our country and gave their lives to preserve our freedom. It also marks the start of summer vacations, road trips, and weekend camping trips.
Some of our teams favorite Memorial Day memories include:
"A favorite Memorial Day memory of mine goes way back to when I was a child and I accompanied my mother to the cemetery to put fresh cut flowers from her yard on the graves of relatives. I heard stories about the various deceased relatives as we cleaned the headstones and left our bouquets." - Cheryl McKay
"My now 5-year old niece's first Memorial Day, she was scared by the fireworks." -- Keith Brown
"When my son caught his very first fish at a local lake 22 years ago!" -- Kim Moy
"Growing up, my family always spent the weekend camping. It was nice to be surrounded by friends and family. We'd stay up late roasting marshmallows and listening to stories around the campfire." -- Danielle Muench

"Spending time with family and friends and grilling, of course!" -- Cheryl McKay
Memorial Day isn't complete without:

"Spending time with family and friends. I think it is especially important, though, to take a moment to reflect about deceased veterans and their families and what they have sacrificed for our country." -- Cheryl McKay

"Adult beverages." -- Dakota Pollard
