While McKay has the experience to make sure that your landscape lighting system is perfectly installed, there are other times that companies without that experience may not install a landscape lighting system perfectly.  McKay Lighting has had numerous clients who need landscape lighting repair to make sure that their system is functioning correctly.  While there are a number of different problems that can creep up, wire issues are one of the most prominent issues that we see on a regular basis.

Many homeowners may hire firms to install their landscape lighting system who may not know the most effective way to install landscape lighting systems.  The lights may look good to the homeowner but the wiring may eventually become visible.  McKay makes sure that their installed wires are not visible to the homeowner and that wires are buried approximately a foot into the ground.  If the wires are not buried this deep, they run the risk of being easily cut.

The picture included in this post include some wire that were not installed properly.  As you can easily see, these wires were not properly installed and became easily exposed to the elements. Elements in this case can include the weather or animals who may chew through the wire.  When wires are not properly installed, the entire system become vulnerable to issues. If one wire is cut, it can cause a large portion of the system to not work and the homeowner can be left wondering why.

McKay can repair wire problems in a couple ways.  Of course we can reconnect broken wires and try to bury the wire better or at least hide it better.  However, in many cases McKay will run our own high-quality wire in place of the damaged wire. This method assures that the lights will work continuously and in the meantime will make the area look great as it no longer has wires visible to the homeowner.
