If you caught FOX & Friends Saturday morning, you might have heard our name mentioned. We worked with National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) and Morano Landscape in partnership with Weaver Gardens to transform the plaza for the show.
Andrew J Coleman, outdoor lighting designer, and Seth Brown, crew leader & installer, flew to New York City on Friday and then installed different types of landscape lighting on the plaza for the segment early the next morning. The segment shared some landscape enhancements to make your outdoor areas shine.
As Missy Henriksen, NALP Vice President of Public Affairs, mentioned when they were talking about lighting, it can allow you to enjoy your outdoor spaces as much as possible, especially into the evening.
We've included the segment clip, more information on the lighting trends mentioned, and a few photos from the trip below.

Seth built a deck post to show different types of deck and wall lighting options. Spot lights were installed under the sod to illuminate the green wall and various landscaping in containers. The water feature has underwater lights installed into the rocks. We also brought a path light and spot light (with a colored LED bulb) for Missy to demonstrate on air.
These light fixtures can be used on deck railings, posts, and stairs. Adding light to the posts of your deck can easily extend the time spent outside while adding safety.
Lighting walkways and paths provide enough illumination to safely guide homeowners and guests around your property and helps prevents trips and falls.
This different type of lighting adds a fun, resort-style aspect to your outdoor living area. The fixture contains a small reservoir filled with citronella that keeps the flame safely burning for a number of hours. The flames on top of the fixture can be powered by either propane or citronella.
Colored Landscape Lighting Options:
If you want to incorporate color into your outdoor space, there are several different ways that can be done with light. A few ideas that we've seen work well with color include water features and outdoor kitchen or bar areas. Besides that, there are decorative light fixtures that will add a splash of color to your landscape.
The 4th of July is coming up, here are a few ideas to incorporate a little red, white, and blue into your space.
