Outdoor Lighting Designer

How long you have been part of the McKay Landscape Lighting team and what does your job entail:

I have been with McKay since January 2012. I am an Outdoor Lighting Designer, responsible for new and existing client sales. I also am the holiday lighting director and snow removal manager.

General background and education:

I grew up in Council Bluffs, IA on an acreage. I have my Bachelors degree in Horticulture with a minor in Landscape Design. I was active in UNL Horticulture Club during college. I became a Nebraska Certified Nurseryman in 2007.

Why do you like working at McKay Lighting:

I enjoy working at McKay because of its team approach in helping clients through the process of designing, installing and servicing their lighting systems. I find that doing a final walk through with a client on their property at night and seeing their excitement about their investment, is very rewarding.

Members of your family:

I have a wife, Dana, married in August 2005, and have two kids, Lilly and Lincoln.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time and anything additional that you want to share about yourself:

I enjoy working out at the gym and running; Nebraska sports – big Husker fan; spending time with family and friends; exploring new areas when on vacation. I’m involved with PLANET and the Design/Build Specialty group and am a member of the NNLA organization.
